As of August 2000, the following information applies:
There are 2 ways to amend a birth record. Method one (1) is to provide 2 documents per item being amended that were established at least 7 years ago, or more, which show the information the way you want it to appear on the birth record. Method two (2) is to provide a court order which specifically directs the birth record be amended for the specific items that are desired to be changed. For either, the cost is $20.00 to amend the record.
