KANSAS Admin Code: KAR 28-17-20 (b) (1) (A) (i) (2004)
Kansas will issue an amended birth certificate. The following information is required: Affidavit from applicant documenting dressing and living as new gender, and documentation of hormone treatment and surgery (physiological OR hormonal change).
ADMIN CODE
(i) The items recording the registrant’s sex may be amended it the amendment is substantiated with the applicant’s affidavit that the sex is incorrectly recorded, or with a medical certificate substantiating that physiological or anatomical change occurred.
